:: Submission Procedure

   

All initial submissions should be made as electronic attachments to the Editor-In-Chief at (submission@aci.org.sa). The manuscript shall be submitted in single line spacing with wide margins. Any information that reveals the identity of the author(s) should be removed. A separate file is required to be submitted along with the initial submission of the paper.  The details of this file are as follows: Title of the work, Autobiographical note: Author’s name, Affiliation, Address, Email address,Word Count: 5-7 keywords, Abstract- English - max. 200 words; (AND Arabic, from Arabic-speaking authors). Final submission should be in one file that contains the title of the paper, 5 keywords, a 200-word abstract, and the full body of the paper.Submitted articles can be in Arabic or English. They are not restricted to a certain length. However, articles of 3,000 to 6,000 words are considered appropriate. Shorter contributions may be considered. The dimensions of the text contents should be 4.45 x 7.25 in. It is strongly recommended that you use 6.85” x 9.65” customized page size with 1.2” margins on all four sides. Font should be Times New Roman font style and font size ‘12’ for the whole paper unless otherwise specified. The title of the paper should be in font size: 20, centered, bold, sentence case. Author’s full name should be centered Size: 14. Affiliation should be centered and italicized. Keywords should be 5-7 words and the font size should be 9, italicized. Abstract should be max. 200 words and the font size should be 9, Italicized. The Body of the paper should start with an Introduction (Please refer to the sample article).  If there is a methodology, it should be clearly described under a separate heading. Headings must be short, clearly defined, in bold font, and not numbered. Notes or Endnotes should be used only if absolutely necessary and must be identified in the text by consecutive numbers, enclosed in square brackets and listed at the end of the article. Figures, charts and diagrams should be kept to a minimum. They must be black and white with minimum shading and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals with a brief title in Sentence case and labeled axes, if applicable. The title should be entered in the margin area of the page. Tables should be kept to a minimum. They must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and a brief title in Sentence case. Photos and illustrations must be supplied as good quality black and white original half tones with captions. Pictures captured from web pages should be converted to .JPG format to be used in the article. If your paper includes calculations and equations, please use the “Microsoft Equation” object provided in MSWord to write your equations. 


References

To other publications should be complete and in Harvard style. They should contain full bibliographical details and journal titles should not be abbreviated. For multiple citations in the same year use a, b, c immediately following the year of publication. References should be shown within the text by giving the author's last name followed by a comma and year of publication all in round brackets, e.g. (Fox, 1994). At the end of the article should be a reference list in alphabetical order as follows 

(a)

For books

Surname, initials and year of publication, title, publisher, place of publication, e.g. Pfleeger, C. and Pfleeger, S. L. (2003), "Security in Computing", 3rd edition, Prentice Hall, USA. 

(b)

For chapter in edited book

Surname, initials and year, "title", editor's surname, initials, title, publisher, place, pages, e.g.Sprague, R. H. (1989), "Information Systems Planning", in McNurlin, B. (Ed.), Information Systems Management in Practice, McGraw Hill, London, pp.103-34. Please note that the chapter title must be underlined. 

(c)

For articles

Surname, initials, year "title", journal, volume, number, pages, e.g.Dale, B. G. and Wan, G. M. (2002) "Setting up a quality costing system: An evaluation of the key issues", Business Process Management Journal, Vol 8 No 2, pp. 104-16. 

If there is more than one author list surnames followed by initials. All authors should be shown. 

Electronic sources should include the URL of the electronic site at which they may be found, as follows:

Notes/Endnotes should be used only if absolutely necessary. They should, however, always be used for citing Web sites. They should be identified in the text by consecutive numbers enclosed in square brackets and listed at the end of the article. Please then provide full Web site addresses in the end list.

Review Process

All Submitted papers will be blind reviewed by at least two experts . Based on their comments , a decision of acceptance or otherwise will be made . 

Final submission of the article

Once accepted for publication, 2 hard copies final version of the manuscript must be posted to the Editor, accompanied by a 3.5" virus - free disk of the same version labeled with: disk format; author name(s); title of article; journal title; file name. 

Each article must be accompanied by a completed and signed Copyright Transfer Form available from the Journal web site. 

The manuscript will be considered to be the definitive version of the article. The author must ensure that it is complete, grammatically correct and without spelling or typographical errors. It is also the responsibility of the author to ensure that the article is not in violation of any copyright laws. 

In preparing the disk, please use one of the following formats: Word or Rich text format. Figures, which are provided electronically, must be in tif, gif or pic file extensions. All figures and graphics must also be supplied as good quality originals.
